Today I received some VERY GOOD news in the mail! Almost a year ago, my family and I went to Philly to do a wedding for a former student of ours. The day after the wedding, we made a trip to see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and other historical sites, after having lunch in China Town.While parked on the street in Chinatown, we fed the meter, but upon driving away, we noticed there was a "note" left for us by the meter-maid. When I opened the envelope, I was stunned to discover a ticket for $304.00! To compound that cost, as I was awaiting information regarding my appeal of the ticket to the Philadelphia Parking Authority, I accrued $40 in additional late fees, bringing the final total to a $346 parking ticket!
Well, today I got a letter in the mail finally informing me that they had decided to accept my appeal, and that I no longer owed the debt.
What a relief! Thank you Philly...I love you, but more appropriately...THANK YOU GOD, I LOVE YOU!!!
