One of my goals

I've been at the District MinistrieSummit this week. It's our annual pastor's business meeting for the Penn-Del District.

Last night was the Ordination service. Ordination is the public ceremony by which the Assemblies of God acknowledges the divine call, commission, and qualification of a person to ministry in our fellowship. A couple of my friends were honored in that way, which was cool.

Another element in this service each year is when they honor the "Jubilarians" (pastors who have been ordained for 50 years.) This photo was taken during this part of the service. Call it a goal or whatever, but I hope I can one day stand there in a moment like that. God, help me to be faithful to You every day, so I can one day reach that goal!

Oh yeah...and help me live that long, too. If that day comes, it'll be in 2050, when I turn 80!
