Last Sunday

Last Sunday I had the privilege of going to Pittsburgh City Outreach (PCO) with Nick Poole for their "Winter Reach" outreach. PCO is one of Allison Park Church's church plants and within the last year, they have relocated from the Lawrenceville section of the city to the North Side.

Pastor Brian Bolt, Pastor Justin Maslanka, and the leadership team of PCO are doing such an incredible job of bringing true life-change to the people in this area. In addition to beginning a church, they have also started men's and women's homes that serve as faith-based drug & alcohol rehabilitation centers. It's truly impressive to see God using this church in such an impactful way!

On this Sunday, however, the focus was more upon letting the community know about what a great church was now in their neighborhood. Earlier in the week, the church spent their afternoons delivering fliers to their neighbors announcing the Sunday service, and the free gift that each visiting child and adult would receive.

I am told that on average, PCO averages about 60 people each week. This Sunday, they ended up with 196 people, with 50 adult visitors, and about 65 kids in their children's ministry programs! More importantly, the altars were full of people inviting Christ into their hearts.
