I think it was a miracle.

My voice has been gone for more than 4 weeks. I came home from youth convention, the night before Easter, and was SO sick. I had the flu, and actually missed a week of work, and two consecutive Sundays. During the week I was off, I kept getting progressively worse, so I went to the hospital, only to find out I had pneumonia.

It's been a long road back to full recovery for me, but I finally feel good....except that my voice has only been a shadow (or should I say a "squeek") of it's former self. Pretty frustrating when one of my main responsibilities is to preach to our students!

At Re:volution this past Wednesday, I made the statement (as best as I could get the words out) that it would be a miracle if I was able to preach this Sunday for National Youth Day. Pastor Martin was more than understanding, and he was prepared to preach if I was unable, but God healed me! My voice was not perfect, but especially during the second service, I was able to preach with only some minor breaks to get a drink, etc.

Anyway, I am so grateful to the Lord for healing me!

Also, our students and youth staff, and so many others did an incredible job with both the morning services and the with the STL Spaghetti Dinner. The food was awesome (we've got some awesome cooks and bakers in this church! Thanks for your time and efforts!) for those who stayed and helped in any way, THANK YOU!

I'll let you know later this week how much was raised towards the STL vehicle for the Philippines!
